ARTBAR is seeking residents local to our area who are interested in helping us save dogs by fostering them in your home. We pay for the vetting and provide you with food for the fosters. You provide a safe, indoor environment and begin to teach the dog housebreaking and crate training. We need foster homes for adult dogs, senior dogs, and puppies. If you sign on to foster, you agree to keep the dog safe in your home until placement is found. We may occasionally ask you to bring the foster to our vet for scheduled appointments, so if you can also help with that we would appreciate it.
Any dogs or cats that you currently have in your home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations prior to taking on your first foster. If you can't afford that, we may be able to assist with the vetting.
Digital camera or good quality phone camera very helpful so you can send us new photos and videos of the dog while it's in your care for placement on our website to promote the dog, so we need cute photos/videos interacting with people/dogs for our website.

Mission Statement
The mission of A Reason To Believe Animal Rescue is to rescue homeless or neglected animals (including but not necessarily limited to dogs and cats), provide veterinary care, and get them placed them in great adoptive homes. All are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We house these animals in foster homes, kennels, or boarding as needed. We work in collaboration with shelters, veterinarians, rescues, owners needing to rehome their pets, and the public. We work to reduce the animal overpopulation issue by spaying and neutering as part of our process. We work to ensure the safety of the public by vaccinating according to the law and as the health of the animal permits based on the recommendations of our veterinarian. We treat for parasites, injuries, dentals, skin or ear infections. etc.

ARTBAR is a foster-based pet rescue located in rural southwestern West Virginia. We mostly rescue dogs but occasionally help other domestic pets. We are located near the star in our logo.
