Seeking: An Executive Assistant who will directly assist our Executive Director with a variety of tasks.
We are looking for someone with computer proficiency and strong communication skills. If you love the challenge of creating something new, have the ability to be flexible and balance competing priorities this opportunity is for you! Bring you ideas add your voice to this emerging non-profit.
Safe-Now is an Oregon based Nonprofit (www.safe-now.com), and we would love for you to join us! We are a new non-profit looking for passionate change-makers who are willing to donate their time to support a forward-thinking safety focused, equity promoting organization.
Safe-Now aims to address personal safety and violence prevention using an equity and social justice lens. Our operations, policies, and practices embrace the principles of equity, empowerment, and collaboration.
We will consider any combination of relevant work experience, volunteering, education, and transferable skills as qualifying. Please be clear and specific about how your background is relevant.
Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Commitment and passion for violence prevention work
- An understanding of equity and oppression
- Strong administration and organization skills
- Basic computer skills (Word, Adobe, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Access database experience
- Social media management
- Some college credits from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business, public or community health, social science/services, or a related field.

Safe-Now's mission is: To develop culturally specific personal safety training and education in collaboration with community members to ensure all communities have access to resources and education, especially those that have experiences they perceive to be traumatic, oppressive, or abusive.
Description
Safe-Now is an equity-based violence prevention organization that aims to prevent violence before it starts. We describe the work we do as care-defense. By starting with you and your community’s needs we build on your unique strengths and resilencies while simultaneously sharing our self-defense or violence prevention skills.
Safe-Now creates sessions, workshops, classes, and programs for communities and organizations to address personal safety and violence prevention concerns.
