This is a self-paced opportunity that is done on your own time and wherever you choose. We need individuals or groups to volunteer and collect the following items: new fleece blankets, new or gently used stuffed animals, new or gently used children's books and toothbrushes (specifics are provided once you contact us and sign up)

Items are then sorted, organized and placed into a canvas tote bag that is supplied for you by our organizaiton. When done they are returned to us and delivered to numerous shelters and organizaitons thoughout Arizona.

*There is no centralized location where this is done. We DO NOT have a warehouse. YOU provide the items needed and YOU fill the totes wherever you are located. Then they are delivered back to us.

About Project Sleep Tight USA

Location:

2701 S Valle Verde, Mesa, AZ 85209, US

Mission Statement

Project Sleep Tight donates over 3000+ Sleep Tight totes each year, free of charge to homeless children who need childhood essentials to feel cozy and significant. Each Sleep Tight tote contains a blanket, age-appropriate children's book, stuffed animal, and a new toothbrush--all tucked inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Sleep Tight reduces the effects that homelessness can have and promotes the emotional well-being of the children we serve.

Description

We provide emotional security items for children in homeless envioronments and those that are going through traumatic times by providing them with childhood essentials that will give them security and support. We recruit community members to collect, sort and fill canvas tote bags that are then delivered to numerous shelters and organizaitons throughout Arizona. We rely on the support of the community to help us achieve this goal. Individuals, groups, businesses, schools, churches, scouts, sports teams, anyone can contribute their time and efforts to help our cause.
