Responsibilities include assisting with:

  • Grant writing and funding applications
    • Managing grant seeking, including monitoring grants calendar, proposal development, prospect research and stewardship reports
    • Managing donor database; recording/acknowledging gifts and database output
    • Managing direct mail campaign including preparation of letters, mailings, volunteer recruitment/supervision and donor recognition.

Candidates should possess:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated results-oriented human relations skills
  • Ability to draft solicitation letters, grant requests and sincere and thoughtful acknowledgement letters.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage a wide range of projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Candidates must be in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences; major in a Communications-related field (Journalism, Public Relations, English, etc.) a plus.
  • PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Resourcefulness, creativity and a drive to achieve measurable results

Dare to Empower is a non-profit that was created for girls between the ages of 13-19. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and empower teens to be the greatest version of themselves. We will sponsor various programs throughout the year, which aligns with our mission and goals. Our programs support the achievement of physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and economic success

We are a non profit organization that works with socioeconomic challenged families in provide services that lessen their financial burden. We put on two annual events a back to school supply giveaway and free prom dress giveaway. In addition to our annual events, we partner with schools and other organization for various events like tutoring, social awareness and fitness activities.
