Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator (VC) is a volunteer management position with Building Our Tomorrow. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a stable volunteer department to aid the organization in its mission. As an E-organization the Volunteer Coordinator position is a remote position, but the individual in this role must be available during normal business hours (9am-4pm) for at least 2 weekdays as needed for conferences with the President and/or Vice President.

Duties:

• Respond to volunteer form submissions

• Answer questions from interested individuals about the opportunity

• Recruit on various free posting sites for volunteers

• Initiation of the Volunteer on boarding process for all volunteers

• Ensure an even spread out of volunteers across the different departments within the organization

• Ensure successful completion of the on boarding paperwork as well as the orientation process.

• Managing the completion of the Volunteer Monthly Reports to ensure all volunteers are remaining engaged with the organization

• Assist the Committee Advisors in the preparation for volunteer projects and assign estimated time per project

The VC will have meetings as needed with the President of the organization to update the President on the progress of the Volunteer Department. Meeting will be held on a monthly basis, at least.
