We have an event planned for 6/3/17. This event will provide an opportunity for members of our community to "Walk the City". It is an awareness event that will encourage people to SEE the need for relational discipleship in our city.
We need someone to coordinate this event - from promotions to clean-up. You will work directly with the Administrative Director who has lots of ideas on what to do, but not enough time to do it all.
Necessary skills include writing emails & social media content for promotions, creating an agenda, recruiting volunteers, organizing logistics (signage, water, sign-ins, questions, etc), community and church outreach, etc... You must have strong written and verbal communications kills. Experience with WordPress and Facebook Ads Campaigns are particularly helpful but not required.
You must have experience with planning and implementing at least one event already. (This doesn't need to be a non-profit event, but something that shows you can handle the details of an event for 30-100 people.)
We need a volunteer who has a proven record of sticking to a job until it is complete.
Additionally, you will need to embrace our "heart" for the homeless ministry. This includes our mission statement and Statement of Faith (found at: http://babystepsministry.org/about-babysteps/our-statement-of-faith/). Without a good understanding of our mission/vision and faith you will be unable to appropriately implement the purpose of the event nor will you be able to prepare the participants for what to expect.
The Administrative Director will conduct an interview (via Skype) to ensure that you are a good fit before choosing a candidate. Interviews will take place in February.
Please send a resume with a brief letter explaining why you think you'd be a great fit for this position.
