National Alliance on Mental Illness is America's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and familes affected by mental illness.

NAMI is continuing to grow and we need a team of dedicated individuals to help us spread the word to the community! Develop your own skill set and help NAMI reach more people in Geauga County! Some marketing and advertising tasks would include:

*Developing advertising materials for NAMI classes and events

*Posting flyers throughout the community

*Contacting local media for advertising opportunities

*Identifying new ways to reach the local community

*Speaking to local business owners and organizations about the organization

*Developing a marketing plan to promote programs and events

To offer mutual support and empowerment to persons and their families affected by serious mental illness through education, advocacy, and emotional support.

National Alliance on Mental Illness is America's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and familes affected by mental illness such as major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Founded in 1979, NAMI has become the nation's voice on mental illness, a national organization including NAMI organizations in every state and in over 1200 local communities across the country who join together to meet the NAMI mission.

NAMI provides free educational programs and support groups for individuals living with mental illness and families/friends. Additionally, NAMI organizes educational events in schools and the local community.
