The Houston Food Bank cultivates a spirit of teamwork between volunteers and staff in order to provide the highest level of customer service to our volunteers. Scheduling Volunteers join a team that works behind-the-scenes to keep HFB volunteerism running smoothly by providing registration assistance to fellow HFB volunteers. This team is great for anyone who enjoys talking to people, working on computers and providing logistical support.

Founded in 1982, the Houston Food Bank’s mission is to provide food for better lives. Houston Food Bank is a certified member of Feeding America, the nation’s food bank network, with a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food bank in distribution, and leads hunger relief in 18 southeast Texas counties. We distribute fresh produce, meat and nonperishables and prepare nutritious hot meals for kids in our state-of-the-art Keegan Kitchen.
