ORGANIZATION: Noble, Inc.

Noble is seeking volunteers for its largest fundraiser, "A Noble Evening in the Garden." A preview to the Indiana Flower & Patio show, food, entertainment, drink stations, and an auction are scattered throughout gardens in Expo Hall and the West Pavilion. All volunteers must be 21 or over.

Volunteers are needed for the following tasks & shifts:

Set up - 1-5 p.m. (5 volunteers needed) - hang banners, set up tables, etc.

Clean up - 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (6 volunteers needed) - pick up signage, left over sodas, etc.

Restaurant Set up - 3:30-7 p.m. (3 volunteers needed) - help carry in restaurant supplies and set help them up as needed

Restaurant Aide - 7-9 p.m. (2 volunteers needed) or 9-11 p.m. (3 volunteers needed) - check with restaurants in your area to see if they need ice, plates, forks, etc. and deliver them

VIP Greeter - 8:45-11 p.m. (3 volunteers needed) - ensure that only VIPs get into VIP area

*Champagne Table - 6:30-9 p.m. (2 volunteers needed) - pour and distribute champagne

*Beer Table - 7-9 p.m. (1 volunteer needed) - distribute beer

*Wine Table - 7-9 p.m. (1 volunteer needed) or 9-11 p.m. (1 volunteer needed) - pour and distribute wine

Auction Runner - 9:30-11:30 p.m. (1 volunteer needed) - help retrieve auction item once guest has paid.

*Must apply for or have liquor license.

Description

Noble serves nearly 2,800 children and adults with disabilities--primarily those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as autism, Down Syndrome--annually. We help improve the quality of life for those with disabilities and their families through services designed to meet each individual's unique needs.

For infants and toddlers, we offer First Steps Early Intervention Therapies, For youth, we host a variety of day camps, including traditional camps as well as specialty camps such as All About Animals, Art, Music & Dance, and other camps. Teens are served through our School-to-Work transition program. Adults are aided by our Employment Services, which includes Community Employment, Work Crews, and Noble Business Enterprises. Those who want to live independently are helped through our Community Living Service. Noble also offers Community Integration Services, featuring therapeutic art and Community Exploration. Adult Day Services are offered for those with higher needs and/or those with disabilities who also have Alzheimer's or dementia. Music, Recreational, and Behavioral Therapies are offered for both children and adults. We also help the families of those we serve by offering Respite Services, serving as The Arc of Greater Indianapolis, and offering networking opportunities and educational workshops through our Center for Family Leadership.
