Chairs: Rob Powell and Sameer Gokhale - Have a knack for being laser-focused and appreciate attention to detail. Join this committee and assist the PGA TOUR’s ShotLink(r) operations team while using the latest in technology from fairway lasers to tablet computers. Your services will provide real-time data and scoring of every shot made by the pros which will be prominently featured on PGATOUR.com, the PGA TOUR App and on the national and international television broadcasts. You’ll be paired with a fellow ShotLink(r) committee member on select fairways or greens watching and tracking all the inside-the-ropes action. While the majority of this committee’s tasks may be done while seated, tablet operators will need to be mobile around the greens. Please note, there is MANDATORY TRAINING so you can familiarize yourself with the equipment and ensure 100% accuracy on scoring and statistical data for show time! ** Shift time is approximate and depends on tee times, weather and play. Minimum three (3) shifts total - one training shift (1) and two (2) regular shifts are required for this committee. Mission Statement

To deliver a positive economic, social, educational and charitable impact on our diverse community - reflecting the core values of our corporate partners, volunteers and other stakeholders.

Description

As successful as the Valero Texas Open was "inside the ropes," the most fulfilling aspect is the event’s impact "outside the ropes." Last year we were proud to become only the fourth PGA TOUR event to eclipse the $100 Million milestone in cumulative funds raised for charity. Thanks to growing community support, the 2016 Valero Texas Open, along with the Valero Benefit for Children, raised a record $10.5 million, bringing the grand total to $115.5 million in charitable giving.
