Giving Garden Harvest
Volunteers in the Giving Garden at DPNC's Coogan Farm campus in Mystic.

The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center is looking for volunteers to help in the Craig Floyd Giving Garden at Coogan Farm Tuesday Morning Harvests (7am-9am) all summer. The Craig Floyd Giving Garden is 30,000 square feet of growing space located at our Coogan Farm campus on Greenmanville Ave in Mystic, CT. The food harvested from our garden is donated to the Gemma E. Moran United Way mobile food banks in southeastern CT. Description

We have a 300-acre nature preserve, with several miles of trails for hiking, biking and even cross country skiing. A combination of interactive displays illustrate the woodland, wetland and meadow habitats on the land surrounding our main campus, offering an ideal learning experience for children and adults visiting either of our locations, participating in our programs or attending our nature preschool. We offer outreach programs for school and scouting groups. We also have an Animal Care department for rehabilitation of limited species and continued care of non-releasable birds of prey. Membership support and volunteer engagement are absolutely essential to our success.
