This is what many of our child respite volunteers say.
If you enjoy children and are looking for a fun volunteer role that at the same time helps a loved one who is caring for their child get a much needed break then try us out.
FamilyMeans through it's volunteers helps caregivers get a much needed break by providing companionship and supervision 2-4 times a month for 2-3 hours a visit. Volunteers do not provide any medical cares or daily living cares, but are there to make sure the child is safe.
It's a great role for a man, woman, couple, family, friends who would like to help another person in need and someone who enjoys children.
We have needs for children from age 4-18, boys and girls, during the day, evening or weekend hours.
You can color, do a puzzle, watch a movie, play with cars, play some sports, go for a walk, do some crafts, play music, dance, act silly and have fun!
