Coordinators: Gordon Taylor and Michael (Mike) Pukansky - The Roving Marshals group is responsible for additional crowd control of high-traffic areas on the golf course. These high-traffic areas are broken down into three sections: leader groups, groups with marquee players, and hospitality venues. In addition Roving Marshal's will be used to assist and support hole staffing when necessary. These marshals will be deployed accordingly and will help ensure the safety of our spectators and players. Roving marshals must be physically able to walk 18 holes of golf and stand for long periods of time, possibly in extreme weather conditions. Previous experience in crowd control or security is beneficial but not required.

Description
As successful as the Valero Texas Open was "inside the ropes," the most fulfilling aspect is the event’s impact "outside the ropes." Last year we were proud to become only the fourth PGA TOUR event to eclipse the $100 Million milestone in cumulative funds raised for charity. Thanks to growing community support, the 2016 Valero Texas Open, along with the Valero Benefit for Children, raised a record $10.5 million, bringing the grand total to $115.5 million in charitable giving.
