Chair: Brian Thayer - Transport players and caddies to and from the course in the event of a suspension of play or other circumstance requiring players to leave the course. When not performing primary duties, you may be required to assist other volunteer committees, greet and provide general information and directions to spectators. Must be friendly, courteous, outgoing, and dependable. In addition, you must be 25 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and must attend the evacuation routes training session the week prior to the tournament. Days needed: Weekend prior to tournament (pick up vehicles and deliver to course), Mon-Sun of tournament week, return vehicles Sunday after play or Monday morning after tournament. Day long shifts during tournament play.

Description
As successful as the Valero Texas Open was "inside the ropes," the most fulfilling aspect is the event’s impact "outside the ropes." Last year we were proud to become only the fourth PGA TOUR event to eclipse the $100 Million milestone in cumulative funds raised for charity. Thanks to growing community support, the 2016 Valero Texas Open, along with the Valero Benefit for Children, raised a record $10.5 million, bringing the grand total to $115.5 million in charitable giving.
