Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia is looking for a probono lawyer licensed in VA to rewrite its Bylaws, change Artices of Incorporation and develop Confict of Interest Policy for its board.
Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia is organized exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Namely, subject to its express charitable purpose, Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia helps consumer-run mental health and addiction recovery programs overcome organizational challenges, encourage program independence and growth and assist with navigating the future of programs.
RPSV owns and operates two peer run recovery centers that are very successful. Arlington Peers Helping Peers and South County Recovery and Drop-In Center in Alexandria help hundreds of those who struggle with mental illness, addiction and homelessness by providing continental breakfasts, hot lunches, computer classes, laundry, phone and mail services, psycho-social groups and 12 step groups. RPSV also provides staff for the Fairfax and Falls Church WRAP Facilitators (WRAP is a proven and successful recovery tool created by Mary Ellen Copeland).

Description
Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia is a 501-c-3 nonprofit corporation in Virginia.
Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia (RPSV) was founded in 2011. The organization was created to meet the unmet needs of adults and seniors with mental health and substance abuse issues in Northern Virginia. RPSV currently serves residents in the Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax/Falls Church, Loudoun County, and Prince William County communities and is actively seeking to expand to other jurisdictions to help even more individuals in need.
RPSV’s programs maximize participant self-determination; promote access to treatment; and focus on decreasing dependence on psychiatric hospitalizations.
Since its inception, RPSV has helped thousands of adults and seniors receive transformative support to help them reach their full potential. The demographics of those RPSV serves includes adults, ages 18-59, and seniors, ages 60+. Two-thirds of RPSV’s clients are over age 50. Its oldest participant is 83.
RPSV meets those it serves "where they are" and provides them with a safe place to address the issues they are facing. It provides peer support and other key services to help individuals live independently.
