Rise Family Groups meet weekly to learn how to build healthy homes. Through a mix of workshops, activities, and classes, parents gain helpful skills and resources.
Future Coordinators assist the Group Coordinator with the parenting side of the class. Respobsilities include: helping with check-in, making families feel welcome, facilitating discussions, set-up and tear-down, and helping lead activities. Our groups include an optional time of prayer, lead by staff, but all faith-based activities are optional for parents and volunteers.
After a few months of being a Future Coordinator, volunteers may be invited to co-lead a Family Group in a new community. Volunteers will be asked to commit to two or more Tuesdays a month from 5:00pm-7:15pm. If you're the sort of person who wants to invest in families, enjoys leading discussions, is hospitable, and has a welcoming spirit, this is an opportunity you should consider.

About Rise Family Services

Mission Statement
Rise Family Services builds healthy families free of abuse.
Description
One in ten children will suffer maltreatment in their lifetime and twenty percent of children will be sexually abused before the age of eighteen. Rather than serving families after children have been abused, neglected, or mistreated, Rise reaches families before intervention is needed. Through child-focused education, care-taker trainings, and wrap-around services, we empower people connected to children to protect them.
