Our Ronald McDonald House St. Paul locations in Children's Hospital and Gillette are in need of groups to purchase, prepare, and serve meals for families with kids that are critically ill. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for small groups of up to 6 people! Book clubs, groups of friends, corporate outings families, anyone over 14 (with an adult over 18) is welcome to join us for Cooks for Kids! Provide a home-style meal and cook it with your group in our beautiful well-equipped kitchens! Brighten the day for families spending time in the hospital in our home-away-from-home Family Rooms.
Families are better together.
There are lots of opportunities on the weekend or during the week. Cooks for Kids runs 365 days a year!

We, in partnership with our community, provide a comfortable and caring home-away-from-home that supports keeping families together and reduces stress during a child’s serious illness.
Description
We provide a warm and welcoming community of support and respite for families with seriously-ill or injured children. Across our five locations, we welcome 76 families each night for overnight services, as well as hundreds of day-visitors. Services include:
- Lodging
- Meals
- Kitchen access and fully-stocked pantries
- Laundry facilities
- An accredited K-12 school
- Workout facilities
- Supportive, family-focused programming
We take care of all these things so families can focus on the well-being of their child.
