Discovery Place Science is excited to open the new Explore More Me Lab in February and we need your help!
The Explore More Me lab will be located on Level Two of the museum and will focus on human health and biomedical sciences. Volunteers will interact with museum visitors, assist in guided inquiry discussion about current health-focused topics, help maintain and facilitate the table top activities, perform general housekeeping duties to maintain the lab and assist in leading demonstrations for visitors and during class sessions. The ideal candidate for the Explore More Me lab will have a basic knowledge of biology and an eagerness to learn more about life sciences and current research in the field. Selected volunteers will also help in the development of future programming in the lab. We will train volunteers on best practices as well as on all applicable equipment.
