Purpose: Is your school, workplace, office, or other community group looking for meaningful ways to get involved in your community? Look no further! New Entry Sustainable Farming Project is looking for groups to volunteer at our farm sites in Dracut, MA this spring and summer. Spend a day outside at one of our two picturesque, rural New England farm sites. Farm projects include (but are not limited to) farm maintenance work like fence repair, weeding, spreading gravel and removing brush, or even planting, harvesting and packing produce alongside our beginning farmers.
Qualifications: Due to the physical nature of the work, volunteers should be able bodied and be able to work outside in the heat for a few hours.
Time frame: Volunteer project are available from mid-april through the fall. Other than that we are flexible and can work with your schedule!
Site/Supervision: Farm projects will take place directly at either the Smith or Ogonowski Incubator Farm Site in Dracut, MA. Volunteers will work with direct supervision from the Volunteer Coordinator, Farm Manager, and Farmers.

New Entry’s Mission: The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project is a non-profit whose mission is to improve our local and regional food systems by training the next generation of farmers to produce food that is sustainable, nutritious, and culturally-appropriate and making this food accessible to individuals regardless of age, mobility, ethnicity, or socio-economic status. In doing this work, we provide critical training, career development, and economic opportunity to new farmers.
