Bereavement Counselors provide a listening ear to the loved ones of hospice patients who have died. Counselors also (with the help of the Bereavement Coordinator) periodically place calls to those on the service to see how their journey with grief is going and assess what services might be helpful. This might mean referring to support groups or arranging in person visit with the chaplain or social worker.
