We are looking for fellow light-bearers in unbearable times.
Most folks have experienced some death in their lives, it's a part of life. It can be a dark and lonely time.

Armada Hospice brings help to lighten the load, volunteers to help lesson the darkness.
We need volunteers in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrence, Valencia and Santa Fe counties. We want to place volunteers near their own communities with their neighbors of a kind.

Being a hospice volunteer is similar to helping a neighbor in need. The only qualification is your desire to help someone in need. You don't need medical skills, you don't need a college degree, you don't even need to know what to say, all you need to do is sign up for our volunteer training.

Some of the opportunities available for Armada Hospice volunteers include:

Support for patients. Patients want most of all to know that they do not need to face the dark alone. If you can carry a light sword, you can be a successful volunteer.

Support for family members. Armada Hospice Volunteers can assist with shopping or light household maintenance, or allow family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone. Armada Hospice Volunteers can also help care for a family pet.

Administrative work. Armada Hospice also needs volunteers with clerical skills to volunteer by helping in the office with administrative duties.
