University Hospitals (UH) Hospice

As a licensed hair care professional you know that what you do for your clients is not just about making them look their best. You know that when some looks their best they feel better too. This is especially true for hospice patients who are home bound and can no longer get out for the most basic needs, including hair care.

Our licensed hair care volunteers typically see 1-2 clients per month when the service is requested to provide basic hair cuts, no shampooing, no color or chemical treatments. Volunteers must have current Ohio license, are responsible for bringing their own tools, maintaining proper sanitation according to licensing standards, and cleaning up their work area after cutting a clients hair.
