Do you dream of recruiting volunteers to support a non-profit that creates a safe place for teens and their families to come to and find the formal wear desired in an environment that embraces all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientation, disabilities and body size? If so, please read on! The Princess Project Los Angeles is starting its second year as a Princess Project non-profit location and we are recruiting for our Leadership Board. We are actively seeking two Volunteer Coordinator Chairs for our Los Angeles leadership board for a minimum 2-year commitment. The Princess Project Los Angeles relies on our volunteers at every level of the organization. Our Volunteer Coordinator Chair needs to be a community builder and people gatherer with the ability to identify the right number of people with the right skills for the right job. Due to Los Angeles’ size and the number of volunteers we need for our committees and events, the reporting, communications and tracking needed to ensure everything runs well within The Princess Project Los Angeles we recommend there be two Volunteer Coordinator Co-Chairs, one focusing on data tracking and reports and the other focusing on organization and communications. Both Volunteer Coordinator Chairs would be responsible for ongoing recruitment and selection. Duties include:

• Recruitment and selection for your committee and TPPLA volunteers
• Volunteer Orientation for all volunteers
• Metrics including volunteer reports, etc.
• Volunteer rewards and recognition at our annual end of year event
• Volunteer management in our Volgistics database
• Communication both written and verbal

The time committment for this role during these formative years varies per month but averages 10-15 hours a month except during prom season (end of February through beginning of May) where additional time may be needed at various public giveaway events. Each year, we have a three-day planning retreat for all The Princess Project leadership for the upcoming year in July or August that is required for all board members.
