Good Neighbors USA is a certified organization under the President's Volunteer Service Award which is a prestigious award that helps you stand out from your peers.
We were lukcy enough to have awarded more than 5,000 volunteers over the past several years!
Students who are part of our volunteer program are awarded through various activities. Two of our most popular being the Good Neighbors club program and Volunteer Abroad program.
- The Good Neighbors Club program plays an important role in supporting our international work through school club activities. Clubs will plan fun and rewarding activities with the goal of education students and raising support for Good Neighbors.
- The summer Volunteer Abroad trip will take place during the summer. Students will fly to the Good Neighbors office in Guatemala. During the 1 week, students will personally build an income generation project for families and see firsthand how they can change lives. This unique opportunity puts students directly in the field, building from the ground up for deserving families while connecting them with the people and culture of Guatemala.
- Water-for-Life: Recycle to Give Water: Through this program, students will develop a missionary mindset by helping those who are in most need. Students can recycle water bottles and donate the proceeds to the Good Neighbors's project called "Water for Life". The "Water for Life" focuses on building water filtration systems or water wells in areas of the developing country life Africa, Guatemala, and Asia where local people are deprived of clean water.
