Sports Coach Assignment: Coaches are needed year round for a variety of
sports. Volunteers play vital roles in the implementation of sports program at
the various community centers. Consider giving your time volunteering.
Primary responsibility and task include:
" Plan/Coordinate practice schedule
" Facilitate team practices 1 or 2 times per week.
" Manage team roster and meet submission deadlines.
" Maintain positive relationships w/ parents, players and staff
Track and Field Season (Girls and Boys) -Mar thru June
Qualifications
" Knowledge of sport
" Ability to teach, motivate and work with youth in a positive
atmosphere
" Good communication and customer service skills
" Ability to work with diverse groups of people
" Encourage good sportsmanship and model that behavior
" Must pass an annual criminal background check
Directions
" Provide a fun atmosphere that is inclusive and positive
" You become a mentor to the next generation
" Be a part of instilling team building skills and a sense of
community

Description
Seattle Parks and Recreation - Central Recreation consists of Montlake, Miller, Garfield, Yesler, and Queen Anne Community Centers. In addition, Central Recreaion provides support for the new Belltown Community Center scheduled to open in June of 2012.
