As a nonprofit organization our staff is asked to wear many hats! One of those hats is being a professional shopper. Every other week our Administrative Assistant is given a lengthy list of needed items for all 6 of our locations. These items are crucial to the succes of our children and teachers. Her trips can take anywhere from 1.5 to 5 hours. While this is a very fun task it can take away from other necessary tasks that need to be complete.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to support us in some of these shopping trips. The ideal candidate would be available two days a week (every other week) for approximately 2 to 3 hours each time. He or she would be given a consolidated list of items for 1 to 2 centers and sent to Walmart (707 S 8th St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905) to shop for those centers. You would then be asked to bring the items back to the Historic Day Nursery and support in getting the items sorted for transportation. Additionally, this individual would be asked to support in the recording of receipts upon returning from trip.
Requirements:
- Pass a complete background check
- Reliable vehicle that can transport items between 104. E Rio Grande St and 707 S 8th St, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 (approximately 1.8 miles each way)
- Detail-Orientated
- Organized
- Methodical

Mission Statement
To provide high quality, comprehensive early care and education for ALL children.
Description
Early Connections Learning Centers (formerly Child Nursery Centers), was founded in 1897 to care for young children from lower income and working families. We operate five full-day, year-round centers for infants, toddlers and preschoolers and three before/after school and full-day summer programs for school-age children. Fees at all centers are based on family income. The Early Learning Ventures Alliance of the Pikes Peak Region, a partnership with independently-licensed child care Affiliates, offers the choice of smaller, more intimate settings and meets the needs of parents with non-traditional work schedules. Early Connections also operates Court Care, a free drop-in facility for children whose families have court-related business.
