Join the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a volunteer at the 2020 LLS Firefighter Stairclimb! Firefighters from all over the world will gather in Seattle to participate in this physically challenging competition. Dressed in 50 pounds of Full Combat Gear, firefighters climb The Columbia Center's 69 flights of stairs in support of the LLS mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. These fundraisers conquer 1,356 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation to reach the top, beat their personal best, and fulfill our motto: Climb. Conquer. Cure. You can help us make this year’s event a success by donating your time as a volunteer! To sign-up, please fill out the form located here -
For help with signing up or questions please contact Katie Holmes (Katie.email@example.com).
Thank you in advance for volunteering!
About Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Washington/Alaska Chapter
5601 6th Avenue South, Suite 182, Seattle, WA 98107, US
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.
Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.
In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Washington/Alaska Chapter was founded in 1984 to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The chapter serves patients and families throughout Alaska and Washington.
