As we move into our sixth year of operation, the last three having been as an established 501(c)3, TheGifted Arts Inc. seeks to embrace the new opportunities that lie ahead. Over the last year, with the last 6-9 months being quite enlightening, we’ve transitioned into a new phase of growth and development.
In this new era, the co-founders seek to review, redesign and grow the Board of Directors. Not only is this an opportunity to deepen our compliance with the bylaws, but also an opportunity to bring in new, passionate and committed individuals and perspectives that will help drive our mission forward.
We are looking for a diverse, hands-on, nimble group of individuals that align with our drive and connection to the students and communities that we serve and are interested in making a vested commitment, by volunteering to serve as a board member, with TheGifted Arts Board of Directors.
- We are scheduled to host an interest/information session at our location (103 West Main Street, Garner, NC 27529) on Wednesday, January 25th at 6:30 PM and would love to see you there for a deep dive; topics to include: Org. background, mission, vision; Successes/Areas of Growth; Big buck priorities for Board of Dir. in 2017 and Q&A
- Actual meeting dates and times will be TBD but likely during weekday evenings. Length of service will depend on one's role on the board.
Referral - If you know someone that may be a good fit, or looking to serve on a board feel free to invite them along as well. We are certainly looking for those that have backgrounds in finance/banking, marketing, education, arts, HR, fundraising and community engagement, but not exclusively. Board member Recommendations welcome.
Additional steps will be taken post this interest/informational meeting, if you'd like to move forward and be considered for voting, e.g. a mini interview to also include board role interest, resume review/discussion and signing of a Board Member agreement if elected
