Special Olympics Miami-Dade hosts 2017 Area 11 Track and Field Games on Sunday, March 5th!

Volunteer Role:
2,500 volunteers ages 15 thru adult are needed to accompany individual Special Olympic Athletes to their events, cheer them on and be their companion for the day. This is a richly rewarding experience for both athlete and volunteer.
Volunteers will receive:
- Special Olympics T-Shirt
- Record of Community Service Hours
- Lunch provided
Volunteer Requirements:
- Complete a Class B Volunteer Form
- Bring a photo ID
- Volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by an adult

Description
The ultimate goal of Special Olympics is to help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society at large, by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
