Science fair is an educational opportunity that encourages students in grade 6-12 in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. Science fair teaches all students critical thinking and project planning skills.
We need 300 judges and 50 more volunteers to help at the 79th Annual Twin Cities Regional Science Fair held on February 24-25, 2017, in the Field House of the University of Minnesota. Sign up on our website or call or email for more information. Fun science, food, and parking provided.
We need the most help on Friday, Feb.24, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. in any time blocks you can give! Judging projects is on Friday Feb 24 from 4-9 pm. We need volunteers to help with the registration table, stuffing envelopes, score entries, and more. Please see our website at www.tcrsf.org and click on "Judges" (or on "Volunteers" for non-judging assignments). Click on "Register" to register and create your own password to enter our science fair online system. Once registered, use the "Login" page to update your preferences and RSVP.

Volunteers should like kids! Judges should also have a minimum of a bachelors degree in science or engineering or more than 5 years work experience.
We reimburse parking for our volunteers and judges if needed, and we provide catered buffet dinner on Friday evening for all our judges and volunteers. Food, fun, encouraging students in science, and volunteering. Come and give a little time for this very worthwhile cause.

Create your own password to use with your email address on our site. We never share your data. It is used only for science fair. We communicate primarily by email. Please come and enjoy helping our all-volunteer organization encourage students in science and technology. We are a 501c3 educational non-profit.
Registration table - hand out materials to students by grade & last name (Fri.Feb 24, 1:00-4:30 PM; Sat Feb 25, 8-10 AM)
Data entry - computer: enter numeric scores into very easy to use custom software; need to be accurate (Feb.24, about 5-9:30 PM)
Judging Feb 24, 4-9 PM Register on our website- listen to at least 8 student presentation at exhibits, score each on grading rubric, interact: ask the student questions about their work/scientific thought.
Volunteers should like kids! We even need help stuffing ribbons into envelopes from about 8:30-11 pm on Friday Feb 24!

The Twin Cities Regional Science Fair (TCRSF) exists solely for the betterment of youth in the Twin Cities area. Our mission is to provide opportunities for interaction with mentors, discussion of project goals, presentation of ideas, and project analysis for all youth in the Twin Cities area. We strongly support under-represented groups with financial assistance, mentor involvement, and project guidance. We strive to motivate, encourage, and support all efforts by a philosophy of, "Everyone who tries is a winner."
Description
We are a Regional Science Fair for nine counties of the Metro area: Ramsey, Hennepin, Dakota, Washington, Anoka, Chisago, Isanti, Sherburne, and Wright Counties.
