Build Day at The Foundry

Use your skills to support an innovative community of makers committed to giving back to Buffalo!

The Foundry needs skilled marketing volunteers to help with graphic design, press releases (writing and distribution), event publicity, etc. Volunteers must have specific training and experience that will help them complete their tasks.

The commitment necessary is 10 hours a month.

Interested volunteers must complete a short application and attend an orientation and a monthly marketing meeting. From there, you can choose from a task list and decide which tasks to take on based on your interests, talents and schedule. Volunteers will report to the marketing committee.

The orientation is Wednesday, 1/25, 6:30 PM at The Foundry.

Description

The Foundry is a non-profit product-related small business incubator focused on serving low-income, minority, and women owned businesses. The Foundry is also home to member-based makerspaces featuring metal, wood, tech, and fiber labs. In addition, The Foundry runs hands-on community workshops which are taught by local craftsman and artists. The Foundry collaborates with several youth job training programs to facilitate learning in construction, woodworking, and metal working.
