The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year Campaign
The Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign is a spirited fundraising competition where candidates compete for the title of Man or Woman of the Year. They raise funds for LLS blood cancer research in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. The title of Man & Woman of the Year are awarded based on who raises the most funds during the ten-week campaign! We are looking for someone to capture the enthusiasm these candidates have and their amazing desire to give back and cure cancer.
Videographer Responsibilities:
- Capture the story of each candidate through interviews and footage of their campaign events
- Present snippet of this story for grand finale when introducing the candidates
- Interview Boy and Girl of the Year and provide video footage for grand finale
- Capture footage at kickoff and grand finale
- Produce final Man & Woman of the Year video for marketing purposes with all above material

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

In 2018, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Silicon Valley & Monterey Bay Area Chapter was founded in 1972 and serves Silicon Valley & Monterey Bay Area residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
