ORGANIZATION: AseraCare Hospice an Amedisys company

  • 4 people are interested

Aseracare Hospice is seeking interns who are looking to learn more about the health care field, specifically end of life care. Aseracare works to support and comfort patients and families during the end stages of life. Students will learn and have hands on role working with the interdisciplinary hospice team, and will be able to work on both administrative and patient focused tasks. The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the medical relations field, provide concrete deliverables and learn from top to bottom.

When the internship is completed you will gain a vast array of recruiting and networking skills to use in any workforce. Students will learn how to communicate with patients who are terminally ill, will learn how to support families and patients towards the end of life, and will learn about different disciplines roles with the patient and family. This is a great opportunity for anyone planning on entering the heath care, social services, or who is interested in working with the elderly population. Our ideal intern is creative, passionate about helping others, and eager to learn about end of life care.
