The 2017 Special Olympics Louisiana State Indoor Games will held March 3-5, 2017 in Baton Rouge, LA. Athletes will compete in Bowling, Basketball, and Tennis.
OPENING CEREMONIES: Opening Ceremonies will be held Friday, March 3rd at Team Automotive Group Sportsplex (7122 Perkins Rd Baton Rouge, LA 70808) at 7:00 PM.
Competitions will be held on Saturday, March 4th from 8:30 AM to 4 PM and Sunday, March 5th from 9 AM to 2 PM.
Bowling - All Star Lanes & Circle Bowl
Basketball - Team Automotive Group Sportsplex o Tennis - Independence Park (Indoor Tennis Courts)
OLYMPIC TOWN and HEALTHY ATHLETES: will be held at Sherwood Middle School on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 (9am-2pm)

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics is an international organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics is the world's largest public health organization serving people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Louisiana offers over 100 sporting events and training camps to accommodate the wide range of athletic interests demonstrated by its athletes. Athletes are divided to compete against others of similar gender, age, and ability. Special Olympics Louisiana does not charge a fee to athletes (or their families) to train or compete.
