One in six Yolo County residents cannot read and write sufficiently to carry out day-to-day activities at work and home. Adult literacy tutors provide one-on-one tutoring to an adult in their community. Tutors assist adult learners to meet their personal reading and writing goals such as reading to their children, completing a written driver license exam, creating a resume or acquiring new computer skills.

Training, support and materials are provided by Yolo Reads staff.
We currently have adult learners waiting to be matched with volunteer tutors.

Yolo Reads is a free program of the Yolo County Library.

The Yolo County Library is looking for volunteer tutors who reside in Northern California.

This is a virtual volunteer position.

*MUST BE A RESIDENT OF YOLO COUNTY OR IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING COUNTIES (SACRAMENTO, SOLANO, etc.)
