Our largest fundraiser of the year is the Annual Gala for the Arts which supports the Arts Council's many areas of programming which includes: art workshops, summer arts camps for students, Artists in Schools program, sponsored art performances, the Shoreline Arts Festival, and more.

This year's Gala is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 with a theme inspired by a 1920s speakeasy.

We are looking for enthusiastic, event loving, individuals to help us with overseeing the decorations for the event and includes set-up the day before (5/19).

Decorations can be as simple or elaborate as the Decoration Lead(s) wants. Decorations should follow the selected theme and provide a special and memorable atmosphere for the Gala. Table centerpieces (20-24) are usually the main decorated item/area. Other areas of possible additional décor include: entry, bars, wine toss area, dessert tables, etc. In the past decorations have been done for as little as $0 and as much as $800. Being as economical as possible is paramount, but a budget is allowed for décor items. The decoration lead(s) establishes linens colors and decides napkin folding.
