ORGANIZATION: The NOCCA Institute

  • 12 people are interested

This month we will start off the day with a free workshop entitled "Starting Your Fall Seeds Right," from 10-11:30am.

Join Press Street Gardens for our open volunteer day on the second saturday of the month! Get your hands dirty, learn about sustainable agriculture, and help us grow!

Press Street Gardens is a substantial community green space and learning laboratory, as well as a source for locally grown food. To fulfill its vast potential, Press Street Gardens requires the input and ingenuity of volunteers. Press Street Gardens welcomes the support of volunteers, all of whom contribute to the continued success of the gardens.

The volunteer experience at Press Street Gardens is educational, impactful, and fun! Volunteers are able to directly witness the impact that their work has on NOCCA and the surrounding community. Simultaneously, volunteers are provided with an education in gardening techniques, sustainable stewardship and local/global environment.
