Our goals are to identify abuse or exploitation of those under guardianship, and also to support the thousands of Guardians who care for older adults, persons with disabilities, and children.
As a volunteer monitor, you will be appointed by the Court to a specific case. Your job will be to review the file at the Probate Court, visit independently with the Guardian and the Protected Person and write a report to the Court regarding your findings. Volunteer monitors are at the heart of our mission to ensure vulnerable Oregonians are not experiencing abuse or neglect. The information you provide to the Judge will be essential in deciding how to best proceed in an effort to ensure the Protected Person is safe and thriving. This volunteer opportunity is a great fit for someone who needs flexibility as you can take a case at a time and work around your schedule to get the job done. If you are someone who wants to volunteer working directly within the legal and social service systems to help prevent abuse and neglect, Guardian Partners needs you .

Mission Statement
Guardian Partners assists the Court in protecting our most vulnerable through monitoring and education. These efforts reduce the potential for abuse, neglect, and exploitation of Protected People under guardianship.
Description
Volunteer Monitors are at the heart of our mission to keep vulnerable Oregonians safe and thriving.
Founded in 2014, Guardian Partners has grown to serve 14 counties - Clackamas, Clatsop, Douglas, Gilliam, Hood River, Jackson, Lane, Marion, Multnomah, Tillamook, Sherman, Wasco, Wheeler, and Yamhill - with additional counties anticipated soon. We strive to review all adult guardianship cases in Oregon. Our volunteers offer local resources for 80% of cases monitored and recommend court intervention as needed.
The difference a Case Monitor makes in a Protected Person's life can be profound.
