Hidden Brook Acres is seeking someone with a small tractor to assist in facility maintenance. This is a one time volunteer opportunity or on going. The position would include moving, rotating, and/or spreading our compost piles to allow us to start preparing our gardens for the spring season. Our gardens are small, as is our property, we have had the best success with a smaller tractor with bucket and backhoe, a subcompact tractor. We could also use help with mowing as well, the pastures are overgrown and our mower cannot handle the job.
Our gardens are planned and managed by our participants and the produce harvested is donated to local group homes, warm shelters, and "sold" on our community farm stand. The farm stand is need based and the veggies are offered to neighbors and the community, monetary donations are optional. We produce our own compost and everything we grow here is pesticide free and Non-GMO. Although we are not certified organic, we only use organic methods for growing our food and raising our animals.
If you have the equipment and the time, we can arrange for additional help to complete this project.
