The Bascom Marketing Internship Program
The Bascom's Marketing Department is seeking interns to assist and perform tasks associated with Marketing, Advertising, and Social Media. The marketing internship program is an unpaid, immersive educational and research-informed experience that complements The Bascom’s mission while providing valuable hands-on experience in the field of marketing. Internships will vary from candidate to candidate, depending on the experience, educational background, and creative talent.
Term:
Internships are offered year-round
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Internship dates and duration are determined by candidate availability and marketing needs and, therefore, may vary.
The Bascom Marketing Internship May Include:
Graphic Design
Web Design/ Updates
Advertising
Market Analysis
Writing
Social Media
General Responsibilities:
Assist in promoting Bascom events, exhibitions, and educational programs
Distribute marketing collateral such as fliers and posters
Perform research tasks such as advertising rates and target audiences
Support administrative tasks including logistics, ordering of supplies, and bulk mailings
Assist marketing department staff, offer input and assistance with special projects including graphics, social media, and website
Research online event websites and post Bascom events and exhibitions
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office
Proficiency in Adobe Create Cloud
Familiarity with social networking sites
Must be organized with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Must be creative and flexible
Background in marketing, communications, or design

The Literacy Council of Highlands was incorporated in November of 1993. Now, more than two decades later, The Literacy Council serves hundreds of students per month.
