ORGANIZATION: Afghans4Tomorrow, Inc.

Afghans4Tomorrow, Inc. (A4T), is a non-profit, non-political, humanitarian 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to development projects helping the people of Afghanistan. Established in 1999, our focus is on sustainable and community-driven education, health, agriculture and vocational training projects. We are also a registered non-profit organization with the Afghan Ministry of Economy.

We are currently seeking a tech-savvy volunteer with a background in PR to become our next Director of Public Relations. This position would involve managing communication with our network of donors and volunteers, increasing our presence on social media, updating the content and design of our website, and monitoring our status with accrediting organizations. The ideal candidate would be someone interested in international development who can handle both the content and technology aspects of public relations (though expertise in one and willingness to learn the other would be sufficient). This position would involve frequent collaboration with the Board of Directors and the executive director, and would be ideal for either a recent college graduate or established professional looking to gain experience in the international sector or experience in a position of significant responsibility with a small organization. The successful candidate may be invited to become a voting Board member after one year of volunteering.

This is a virtual position that can be done from anywhere, on your own schedule. Expected time commitment will vary by project, but is not expected to exceed 5 hours per week.

Please visit our website at www.Afghans4Tomorrow.org and the Afghans4Tomorrow Facebook page to learn more about the organization. To respond to this opportunity, please email Aaron at aaron [at] afghans4tomorrow [dot] org with resume and specific reasons for your interest (a formal cover letter is not necessary). We look forward to hearing from you.
