Our museum is a floating active ship


The Jeremiah O'Brien is an fully functional, living musuem that sails. As a tribute to both those that served in World War II and specifically the Merchant Mariners who risked it all to deliver cargo to Normandy for the D Day invatsion.

It takes the voluteer staff of the Jeremiah countless ours of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to keep her in line with the maritime industry regualtions. He triple epansion engine and boilers are a marvel both to operate and to maintain. Volunteers with wide ranging engineering/ mechanical/ electrical backgrounds are needed.

Engineers that hold a MMC licence or credential are always needed.
