We are looking for a person who loves gardening and wants to help Safehouse, a local youth crisis shelter, provide tender love and care to our four garden beds.
You choose:
This volunteer opportunity could involve you working on our garden alone, while the kids maintain it throughout the week.
OR
You can hold groups with our kids and teach them your skills and passion about gardening. Our kids are between the ages 11 -17 and love to learn new things.
Either way you want it, we would love to have your help in restoring our garden and having a beautiful view of greenery and fresh veggies to cook.

Mission Statement
Operation SafeHouse, with community support, provides emergency shelter, intervention and outreach services to runaway, homeless, and other youth in crisis. SafeHouse Offers youth positive alternatives to becoming victims of the streets.
Description
We are a shelter for youth at risk, in crisis, or a runaway. SafeHouse of the Desert will provide a critical alternative to young people whose lives are in turmoil. We have a 3 or 4 week program. Our 4 week program is our drug and alcohol program. Our goal is to keep the family unit together.
Age range is from 11 to 17.
