Nu Sigma Theta - New York City

ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

We are recruiting for four committed individuals (ages 18-over) to pledge Nu Sigma Theta and help us develop a thriving chapter in New York City.

Nu Sigma Theta was formed to perform random acts of kindness and formal acts of community service on local and global scales. You will see the types of activities we have done on our website

For information on the organization, visit http://souldeevas.wixsite.com/neos

Members who join under this opportunity would NOT be subject to membership dues because they will be tasked with helping to establish the chapter in New York - which includes the development and execution of service projects, fundraisers, charitable involvement, youth mentoring, social networking, professional development/exposure, advocacy/social justice projects and members-only activities.

Members will meet virtually during the winter months with occasional in-person meetings. The group may meet more frequently in the Spring/Summer months. The meeting location will be in Chelsea, Manhattan.

A working email address is a requirement as is a Facebook account (you may create a separate one just for this activity if you'd like). The Facebook account is critical as it allows you to participate in discussions and activities with members from all over the world. Our pledge/orientation process is very simple and there is no form of hazing observed.

Interested candidates can complete the inquiry form on the website, or they can email souldeevas@gmail.com for more information. If you email, please tell us what city/township you reside in. We will then forward the membership application.
