We will be sorting donated books by grade and weeding out the books that are not age appropriate. We will also be cleaning books by removing price tags, covering up any writings, etc and adding a name plate. A light dinner is served before we start working so please let us know if you have any food allergies.
Park in the teachers' parking lot facing N. Bluff Dr. Look for our sign near the portable buildings. If you need further directions please call Rosanne at 512-565-5581.

Supporting early childhood literacy.
Description
Texas Kids Read (formally The Literacy Plus Project) gives books to students in Title 1 schools to encourage them to read. We give them 5-8 books just before the Summer break in an effort to keep them at their current reading level when they return to school in August.
Our volunteers clean the books that are donated and we recieve 90% of our books thru donations.
