The Alamo

The volunteers at the Alamo are often the face of the Alamo, interacting with millions of visitors annually. When visitors come to the Alamo, they are treated as a guest entering our home, with our famous Texas hospitality.

The successful applicant will be responsible for hosting to visitors and providing information and detailed programs to groups of various ages. The purpose of the living history program is to provide visitors with an educational experience through interaction with tangible "historical characters." The successful applicant will help visitors understand daily life in the 18th and 19th centuries through demonstrations and programs presented in period correct clothing. This candidate will also become proficient in the use of other commonly used items from early Spanish, Mexican Texan and American history
