Our hospice organization needs volunteers who are good listeners to join our Bereavement Support Team. Our Bereavement Team supports our patient's family for 13 months following our patient's death. We will train you to assess the needs, responses, coping skills and support systems of our clients so that we can ensure that we are taking care of their bereavement needs. As a volunteer on our Bereavement Support Team, you will be calling our clients each month to see how they are coping with their grief and loss, to provide a listening ear and to offer support. Bereavement volunteers are able to provide support from the comfort of their own homes, or the comfort of our office, whichever works best for you and your life!
