During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada
Adult mentors "Bigs" are needed to form caring relationships and provide guidance to elementary-aged youth "Littles". Due to the ongoing COVID-19 environment, Bigs will meet virtually with their Littles instead of at our usual school or after-school program settings. This virtual mentoring requires just one "meeting" per week, during after-school or weekends, determined by the volunteer and family's schedules. In addition, weekly facilitated meetings will be held on alternating weekday evenings for Bigs and Littles to attend together or separately. We do ask that our Big Brothers and Big Sisters commit to meeting once a week for at least 12 months.
Youth who have a Big Brother or Big Sister have higher aspirations, greater confidence, and improved educational achievements leading to success in life. You have the power to change the life of a child for the better, forever. The only qualification you need is caring!

What if every child knew success was an option? At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we match at-risk children with caring adult mentors to ensure a strong future for everyone in our community. Are you ready to change the life of a child for the better forever? Start something big. Volunteer today!
Volunteer mentors are matched with low-income, at-risk children to share community or school-based activities on a weekly basis. A one-year commitment is required. Research shows these one-to-one mentoring relationships lower risky behaviors and change both mentor and mentee lives for the better.
We'll work with your schedule.
