WASCO COUNTY, OREGON
Volunteers play a crucial role in disaster response efforts by offering basic needs to those who may have lost everything. As a response team member you’ll assist by responding to emergency scenes to effectively and efficiently provide physical and/or emotional assistance to emergency workers and disaster victims.
Tasks include:
- Taking inventory of emergency supplies
- Stocking emergency vehicles
- Preparing and serving snacks and meals at disaster location
- Assessing need of victims
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Undergo a background check
- Open to getting an Oregon Food Handler's Card or in possession of a Food Manager Training Certificate
- Able to respond to an emergency at a moment's notice
- Be available for a least 8 consecutive hours before being relieve by another team
