CicLAvia seeks volunteers to assist at our CicLAvia - Culver City meets Venice open streets event on Sunday March 26.
CicLAvia heads back to one of our fan-favorite routes for the first event of 2017! On March 26, Culver City, Mar Vista, and Venice will host the country’s largest open streets event! Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.
We are partnering with the City of Los Angeles and Culver City to create 6 miles of car-free streets for people to walk, bike, ride and play. CicLAvia is family-friendly event that gives people the chance to explore their community and connect with each other in a whole new way.
Volunteers help tremendously to ensure participants enjoying a safe and fun car-free street day in LA.
CicLAvia is looking for volunteers for the following positions:
- Volunteers can be assigned to a crossing point along the route to act as a Crossing Angels to ensure participants are following traffic direction and yeilding to cross traffic.
Shifts:
- ALL DAY: 8:30AM - 4:30PM
- AFTERNOON: 11:00AM - 2:00PM
- LATE AFTERNOON: 1:30PM - 4:30PM
Perks (Individual)
- All volunteers receive a CicLAvia Volunteer Shirt
- Snacks and Water Provided!
- Training/ Orientation is highly recommend for our volunteers to attend at our offices on the following dates:
- Thursday March 9 at 7pm
- Saturday March 18 at 12noon
**Orientation/ Training will be held in our offices at the La Kretz Innovation Campus at 525 S. Hewitt St Los Angeles, 90013**

CicLAvia temporarily opens streets across Los Angeles county to all Angelenos to bike, walk, skate, dance, and play. Free to the public, the event turns the streets into a park space that connects diverse portions of the city.
Description
Whether you're 16 or 60, an individual or with a group, there are many ways for CicLAvia fans to donate a few hours to the event.
On the day of the event, enthusiastic supporters help:
-Provide participants with route and activity information
-manage participant traffic at crossing points and hubs
-sign participants up for the CicLAvia mailing list
